I don’t know if you have noticed, but the design of The Dotsisx Blog is pretty simple. There’s nothing more appealing to me than a website where you see everything in front of you, without getting a headache or without having to click on a hundred submenu items to get to things. The one element I have wanted to add to the site’s design is the LifeStream column on the right.

The main reason behind this column is that even though The Dotsisx Blog is my home, I am active on a lot of other sites and services. LifeStream fetches my updates from all of these and integrates them into one friendly chronological column here on the blog. You can see what I’m up to through my Twitter updates (icon: Twitter), you can read the title of the latest articles published on Symbian-Guru where I write (icon: RSS). Sometimes you’ll also find the latest songs I have listened to through my Last.fm (icon: Last.fm), as well as the latest pictures I have uploaded to Picasa (icon: Picasa) and the latest videos I have uploaded to my Blip.Tv channel (icon: Blip.Tv).

Basically, this column, as its name suggests is a stream of my life activities, being displayed in one organized manner. If you are active on any of these services, you are welcome to add me as a friend. Also, you might want to check the Contact page for direct links to my profiles on these services as well as other ones (including Facebook, YouTube, Flickr) and for a few ways to get in touch with me via email or instant messaging.

Nice and simple. Lovely. I’ve not piped a lifestream into my new Habari-powered blog, but that’s definitely in the roadmap there somewhere.

It’s really an awesome plugin for those who are active on social networks, and it does support Jaiku as well ;)
